Variety Is The Spice Of Life
Variety really is the spice of life, especially when it comes to interior design. In this blog post we are going to share some important do’s and don’ts to assure you achieve a unique space true to you.
Fill your home with pieces you genuinely like.
Humans can be a bit like sheep. They like to flock together and follow the crowd. We do it in supermarket and traffic queues and we definitely do it in our approach to interior design too. Remember the teal craze?
Our advice is don’t follow the crowd and avoid a trend unless you genuinely love it. Trends are not always sustainable nor are they personal to you.
Instead, surround yourself with the pieces, patterns and colours that bring you joy.

Shop around. Invest in the piece, not the shop or brand.
High street retailers are making it all too easy and tempting to buy everything for your home all at once, under one roof.
Good for them, bad for you.
Just because you like a brand, doesn’t mean you need to shop everything from there and this goes for any room in the house; kitchens, bathrooms and all!
Shop around. Look at old, look at new, something borrowed? Something blue?

Consider your purchase and take your time.
Don’t jump straight in and buy the first piece you see with no thought or comparison. Give yourself the opportunity and time to realise what is the best option for your space.
Spending that little bit of time searching for a special, one-off piece can make a huge difference to a space and can actually save you money too!
