Project Home is a London-based interior design studio, founded in 2020 by Sophie Gunning, creating distinctive spaces through colour, pattern and storytelling.
OUR APPROACH
We create considered interiors defined by a confident use of colour, pattern and narrative. At the heart of every project lies genuine care and a spirit of discovery: getting to know our clients, how they live, how they aspire to feel, and how their home can support their rhythm of life.
Our approach is personal and collaborative, taking the time to listen and translate each client’s story into a space that feels both individual and timeless. We believe interiors should evolve naturally, with thoughtful layers added over time to create a home that feels lived-in, meaningful and entirely your own.
We offer a comprehensive range of services, from full turnkey interior design to one-off consultancy, working both on-site and remotely, in the UK and internationally. Every project receives the same considered approach, tailored to its individual needs, scale and budget.
Our creative and dynamic team works hand-in-hand with a trusted network of suppliers and skilled contractors to guide each project from the initial spark of an idea through to the final, refined result. With care and attention at every stage, we aim to make the process as seamless and enjoyable as the spaces we create.
OUR FOUNDER
Sophie Gunning is the Founder and Creative Director of Project Home, bringing a highly creative, colour-led and instinctively narrative-driven approach to interiors.
Her journey began with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, specialising in painting, an early foundation that continues to inform her intuitive understanding of colour, composition and visual storytelling. Art remains central to her work today, often providing the starting point for a colour palette, setting the mood of a room or bringing an entire scheme together.
Sophie believes our surroundings have a profound influence on how we feel and live. This understanding underpins her approach to design, with a particular sensitivity to the relationship between a space and the people who inhabit it. Her aim is to create interiors that are not only visually compelling, but uplifting, expressive and a joy to live in.
Following her studies, Sophie embarked on a career in homeware buying, working with iconic brands including Liberty, Selfridges and OKA. This experience sharpened her eye for thoughtful curation, exceptional craftsmanship and the interplay between heritage and contemporary design.
Her work and insights have featured in a range of interiors publications, including Domino, The Daily Telegraph, Livingetc and Real Homes.
Warm, engaging and full of creative energy, Sophie brings the same spirit to the design process as she does to the spaces she creates. She is supported by a small, dedicated team who play an essential role in bringing each space to life.
